About Transcendent Birth
Transcendent Birth is a one-woman agency started by Candace Menisk, a certified birth doula and Spinning Babies certified parent educator. This Sugarland native is not only a birth expert; she’s also a mom who has personal experience thanks to her own deliveries. In fact, the birth of her son inspired her to start this work in the first place! She now works with parents all across Houston to provide unbiased support and education. Candace is DONA-certified and a member of Evidence-Based Birth.
Services
Okay, so you have that positive test, and you’re starting to freak out. This is the right time to call Transcendent Birth. Throughout your pregnancy, you will have two prenatal visits. During these meetings, you will chat with Candace and discuss your fears and anxieties. She’s going to work with you to figure out your birth preferences before chatting about pain and comfort measures. Her goal is to ensure you feel completely empowered leading up to your delivery. She will also chat with you about newborn and postpartum support plans before working on labor and childbirth preparation.
Outside of the prenatal visits, she will provide you with unlimited support via phone and email. She will be by your side throughout your entire labor and will ensure your support person knows how they can assist. You will receive 1-2 hours of postpartum care and initial breastfeeding assistance. She will also provide you with a follow-up visit.
Specialty
Candace can provide you with Spinning Babies Birth Preparation Courses through Transcendent Birth. By the end of these sessions, you’ll feel totally prepared for your delivery. Candace also offers placenta services, including encapsulation, tincture, and salve. You can choose to have an umbilical keepsake made if you’d like.
